the entrance way it smells lovely, they have candles going that they sell and they are amazing, it's a very rustic, cozy and atmosphere. The restaurant is charming, As you walk into. This was our first time here and it definitely will not be our last, how we have never been here is a complete mystery and I am still baffled that we have deprived ourselves for so long. Highly recommend this spot for people who enjoy a creative menu and innovative cocktails. It can get crowded though, so I'd recommend making reservations before you come. Great atmosphere as well with a beautiful backlit bar and both indoor and outdoor dining available. Everything we've ever had here has been very good, and I like that the food is locally sourced and made fresh. The serving was really generous, more than enough for two to share. Their famous whiskey cake with bourbon anglaise, spiced pecans, and homemade vanilla whipped cream is too good to resist. We usually don't order dessert when we go out, but it's a must here. The orzo was rich with lemon butter and Parmesan I would have liked a little bit more spinach to offset the richness, but the dish was good. It was perfectly cooked and served on a bed of orzo pasta with wilted spinach. For my entree, I had the mesquite grilled Texas redfish. I really enjoyed it and would definitely order it again. I wanted a celebratory cocktail, and our wonderful server suggested the guava gimlet - a tasty combination of guava. Whiskey Cake is one of our favorite restaurants, so it was only fitting that this was our first stop for indoor dining after being fully vaccinated.
